Runaway Horse's Morning Gallop on Tennessee Road Stopped by Police

An unusual culprit in the form of a runaway horse was the cause of slowed traffic in Franklin, Tennessee, on the morning of Monday, October 20.

Video from the Franklin Police Department shows a ranch hand approaching the animal after it was cornered by police vehicles.

“It was one very determined horse enjoying the open road,” the police department said in a post on X.

“Officer Steve Small used his cruiser lights to gently guide the four-legged traveler back toward West Main, where ranch hands and Officer Erick Lee were waiting to bring him home safely.”
