This Dog Was Just Rescued From a Storm Drain After Slipping From Her Collar

A dog was rescued from a storm drain by New Jersey police after he slipped off his collar and fell down into the sewer whilst on a walk, recently released bodyworn footage showed.

Wall Township Police Department said patrol officers Jerry Baker, Dan Grothues, Josh Wheeler, and Lieutenant Eric Jennings found Sandy scared and stuck below ground with her owner just as distraught.

The officers improvised quickly and used a lockout tool to carefully reach down and hook Sandy’s collar, pulling her to safety.

Sandy can be seen being pulled from the drain in the footage and safely reunited with her very grateful owner. Police said Sandy suffered no injuries during the rescue.
