Service Dog Soothes Anxious Stranger on Flight

A 26-year-old content creator based in Anchorage, Alaska, wasn’t expecting the friendly face she encountered while she was having anxiety during a recent flight.

Footage filmed by Sophie Gross shows a service dog poking its head and a paw between two chairs in front of her during an Alaska Airlines flight from Anchorage to Seattle.

“As much as I fly, I was having the worst flight anxiety,” Gross told Storyful. “And then this little angel’s paw came through the seat to comfort me. It was smooth sailing after that.”

“The clip struck a universal chord: pure, unexpected kindness at 30,000 feet,” she added. “I think people forget that the internet can still be a place of softness.”
