Coastguard rescues dog stranded halfway down 100-foot cliff in the UK

Boscastle Coastguard rescued a dog from a cliff at Trebarwith in the north coast of Cornwall, UK, on January 5.

The pup had been missing since the day before and was found on a narrow ledge about halfway down the roughly 100-foot cliff.

“The circumstances surrounding how the dog came to be in this situation are unknown,” they said.

A qualified cliff technician was lowered to the dog, which was thankfully found to be uninjured, and very pleased to see the Coastguard team.

After a brief assessment, the dog was safely recovered and returned to the cliff top, where it was reunited with its very relieved and grateful owners.

The circumstances surrounding how the dog came to be in this situation are unknown.
