This Kitten Got a Second Chance at Life Thanks to a Special Rescue Group

Friends for Life Rescue Network founder Jacqueline DeAmor drove four-and-a-half hours to pick up a special kitten born with a cleft nose. The tiny Maine coon mix, who they named Bonsai, was so small at birth that she fit in the palm of Jacqueline’s hand. Although she faces challenges that other kittens don't, including the need for surgery when she's 5 or 6 months old, Bonsai is a sweet and affectionate kitten who loves to cuddle. Thanks to people like Jacqueline, Bonsai has a second chance at finding a loving forever home.

Pastor Dickie Spargo of City Church in Gastonia read a news article about the growing number of kids whose school lunch accounts remain unpaid, and was moved to help.
