NASA Just Revealed the Artemis 2 Astronauts Going to the Moon

They're going to the Moon! The National Aeronautics and Space Administration just announced the names of the four astronauts who will fly on the agency’s upcoming mission around the moon. Scheduled to launch in 2024, Artemis II will be crewed by Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen, Pilot Victor Glover and Commander Reid Wiseman. The crew aboard the 10-day journey includes the first woman and the first person of color to orbit the moon.

It's been half a century since humans have explored this far into the solar system. NASA says Artemis II will pave the way for the ultimate goal - the Artemis III crew walking on the moon in 2025. NASA kept their selection process top secret, and says they picked the best of the best.
