"The interaction is very calming and very soothing," says dog handler R.A. “Bear” Berman. "Most people really like dogs and when they look at them, they just smile." These brave pups will be there for children and families until Monday, offering smiles and snuggles that can bring warmth during tough times.

The tattoo, which runs along their left shoulder like Jasper’s scar, serves as a reminder of everything Jasper and his family have collectively gone through. 50 Years Later, Lolita the Whale is Finally Going Home to Free Waters
Exciting news for animal lovers! Lolita, one of the oldest killer whales in captivity, will finally be returning to her home waters in the Pacific after more than 50 years. The Miami Seaquarium, where Lolita was being held, has signed an agreement with the non-profit group Friends of Lolita to relocate the orca to an ocean sanctuary in Washington state. The move is set to take place in the next 18 to 24 months with assistance from philanthropist Jim Irsay.
