Miracle Rescue: Brave Pup Saved After Harrowing Sewage Canal Ordeal
A dog trapped in a sewage canal in Guadalajara’s 5 de Mayo neighborhood is safe thanks to a quick response from the city’s Citizen Security Police Rangers.
The rescue happened after a 911 call alerted authorities to the scene at Avenida Patria and José María Méndez. Officers arrived to find the dog—described as a “loin,” a common affectionate slang term for dogs in Mexico—stuck in the canal and unable to escape on its own.
Specialized officers trained in animal rescues carried out the operation. They used proper equipment and techniques to reach the animal and bring it to safety.
Fortunately, the dog was unharmed and did not show any signs of injury after being rescued.
The Guadalajara Citizen Security Police later confirmed the successful rescue and praised the officers involved.
